Install the pptp package

apt install pptpd

Edit the “configuration” file /etc/pptpd.conf

localip  192.168.16.1
remoteip 192.168.16.2-253

localip is the Servers IP address and remoteip are the addresses handed to the clients.

Edit the “options” file /etc/ppp/pptpd-options

ms-dns 192.168.16.1
nobsdcomp
noipx
mtu 1490
mru 1490

Edit the “Secrets” file /etc/ppp/chap-secrets

username  *  users-password  *

Edit file /etc/sysctl.conf

net.ipv4.ip_forward=1

Update the running kernel

sysctl -p

Restart the service

systemctl restart pptpd.service
